Addison Marie is a month old now! Ok, actually she's a month and a week tomorrow.
Since I see her every day, I haven't really noticed how much she's grown in the past few weeks, but when I go back and look at pictures from the hospital and from her first few days at home, it's crazy! She's still small now, but she was so tiny then! Even though everyone kept telling me she was a big baby (whatever), she seemed itty bitty to me.
I definitely see a lot of myself in her, and not just in the way she looks. She sleeps pretty much exactly like me: completely stretched out with her head tilted back (it looks so uncomfortable, but I sleep like that too, so I can tell you it's not), mouth open. Plus, she snores! Her little baby snoring is soooo cute! Well, it is now, but I'm sure she won't like the fact that she's a snorer when she's older-I know I don't, haha.
She's starting to stay awake for longer periods of time throughout the day, which is awesome. She still wakes up a couple times at night, but here lately she's been pretty good about eating and going back to sleep fairly quickly. Plus, when she's awake during the day it's so fun (to me) to just watch her sit back and take it all in. I don't know if she's able to really focus on any one particular object yet, or if she's just looking around at a bunch of colorful blurs, but it's entertaining to watch her either way.
As for me, I've been cleared to start working out again, which is good since Angela & Lanny's wedding is in six months! Ahh, so much work to do before then-even scarier is that I don't even have six months to work out because I have to order my dress three months ahead of time.
By the way, just a side note, that is a load of crap. Three months my ass. I've been in four weddings now, and I've never had a dress take three months, they just want you to get worried and pay extra to have your dress rush ordered. Don't fall for it! Ok, actually, for my friend Heather's wedding my dress did take forever (I ordered it mid-July and it got her two weeks before her wedding in September) but that was because the dresses were made in China and the factories were all shut down during the Olympics to cut down on pollution and my dress was stuck there until they were over.
My point is, I don't have a whole lot of time to lose a whole lot of weight-I really wish I were on The Biggest Loser right now- so I better get to work!
Going to try and get some sleep before Baby wakes up to eat. That should be any minute now, actually, I might as well stay awake...
Goodnight!
