Two Months Old (well, almost)!!!

Addison will be two months old on Tuesday! How exciting! :)

What isn't exciting, however, is the fact that her two month check up is on Wednesday. The one that includes her first round of vaccinations. :( I start tearing up just thinking about poor Baby getting shots. It just kills me to know that she's going to be hurting and she won't even understand why. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to wait in the hall or waiting room while they do it, which is why I'm making sure either her father or my mother (or both) comes with me.

In other news, her sleeping habits are starting to get a little more "normal", meaning she has some nights where she'll actually sleep for a five or six hour stretch instead of her usual two-three hours. The first night she slept for (almost) six hours, I woke up in a panic, but then got super excited when I realized what had happened! She had gone to sleep at about midnight and didn't wake up until 5:45! I was pretty excited, thinking this was the start of a pretty awesome new phase...but then the next night she went to sleep around the same time and woke up at two. And stayed up for over an hour. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. The main thing is, she's sleeping longer more frequently, so I'll just focus on that.

Another exciting thing has started happening! She's starting interacting a lot more! She talks to us, and listens and stares when we talk to her, and she even smiles at us! One day I was laying with her in my bed, talking to her and she was looking directly at me and smiled! I just about started crying, it was so sweet! Yeah, so maybe it was gas, but whatever, I choose to believe my baby was smiling at me because she knows who I am and she loves me! :)

In non-baby news, I saw New Moon tonight-for the second time. I saw it with Lauren and Kristin at the midnight release last Thursday, along with HUNDREDS of other crazy fans. Something that was just about as exciting to me was the red velvet cheesecake I had from The Cheesecake Factory before the movie. OMG. So amazing! It definitely won't help me out with the whole Operation: Bridesmaid Dress Diet, but who cares! It was worth it! Ha, I bet I'll be singing a different tune come April...

Well, I thought Addison was down for the night, but she just woke up. I guess I'm typing too loudly. Going to go cuddle with her and try to get her back to sleep!

Goodnight, and Happy Thanksgiving! :)
