My friend Kriston (over here) told me yesterday that when she was pregnant, she would sometimes hold a flashlight up to her belly and could feel the baby moving in the area where the light was.
How fun! So, I tried it last night. Skeletina seems to be taking after me, yet again. When I'm sleeping and someone turns the light on unexpectedly, I tend to grunt, curl up into a ball, pull my comforter over my face and be very still-I guess in the hopes that whoever turned my light on won't see me and will leave me alone? Who knows.
Needless to say, there was no moving towards, or even away from, the light. Oh well, I'll just have to stick with feeling her sporadic movements throughout the day. Like, when I'm eating and feel a nice, sudden kick in the bladder. That's fun!
Here's another thing I haven't mentioned yet. My hair is getting so long! Finally! I've been trying to grow it out for what feels like years, but it grows really slow. Plus I usually end up getting bored with it and chopping it all off once it gets anywhere near my shoulders.
But the prenatal vitamins and hormones are really doing the trick! That, and the fact that I made Mary Beth (the girl who cuts my hair) promise the very first time I went to her that she wouldn't cut my hair short no matter what I said or how many times I beg her to. Good thing she listens, because I've already mentioned chopping it off twice to her and she refused!
Man, if the end result weren't kids, I'd be pregnant ALL THE TIME! No one can say anything when you gain weight, you can eat whatever (well, within reason), hair and nails grow like crazy, good skin, you can take a nap without feeling lazy, no one lets you lift or carry anything heavy and people are really nice to you all the time!
But, I think Skeletina will be just enough for me!
Time for lunch!
