Skeletina

Well, as usual, I've been a bad blogger. My apologies!

I feel like not much has changed since my last update, and yet so much has! For one thing, I went from being the only person I know who's having a baby (meaning, terrified, lonely, and a bit miserable), to learning that THREE really close friends of mine are also expecting! Happy happy news! Think of all the cuteness that will be popping up in the upcoming months! All the baby news is making me so excited for everyone else, but also more excited for myself and less scared.

Frustrating as it is, I still am not positive of the sex. At my first sonogram, I was told that they were about 90% sure that little Skeletina (what I call Baby) is a girl, but that was still a bit early to know for sure. At my next scheduled sonogram, the equipment was down, and everyone was having to reschedule. At the NEXT one, Skeletina was (already taking after me) being a bit of a brat and was face down-so we couldn't see anything more than a profile and spinal cord (silver lining, baby has a spinal cord! He/she can walk!).

My next appointment is in two weeks and by then I'll be about 26 weeks along (if I'm counting correctly, I need to go check the calendar to be positive though) so HOPEFULLY we'll get some answers then. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Other than that, I've been feeling great, other than a little episode once or twice when I was feeling a little dizzy (this morning being the worst). But after a snack and a break, I'm back to normal! My belly is getting bigger every week, and while I know that's "exciting" and normal and supposed to be happening, I think it's definitely the part I'm enjoying the least! I'm so ready for Skeletina to get here so I can meet her/him and we can play, but a tiny part of me is really excited so I can start getting back into my old workout routine. As it is, I get yelled at for even attempting to lift a 10 pound bag of ice! My purse weighs more than that, I'm sure I can handle the ice! :)

Honestly though, I'm just trying to adjust and enjoy this time (I have an excuse to nap almost whenever I want!) since I know it won't last for long!

Anyway, here's a couple pictures from my first sonogram-the top one is the reason we call baby Skeletina (looks like Skeletor, but just in case it's a girl, something more feminine seemed appropriate). Like I said, these are from quite awhile ago, so Baby has grown quite a bit! As soon as I have any more information, I'll be sure and update!
